Description: This is a Zane Ware red clay vase, which means it was made prior to 1926 when they switched to a white clay. Zane Pottery became part of Peters and Reed in 1921. This piece is firmly in the Arts and Crafts period, also known as Art Nouveau style. It is finished completely on both sides. I have included pictures that look repetitive, but note that I am showing you both sides. The chips in the foot can simply be turned to the back side. It stands 6" high and is just 2" wide. It is also 6" across. It is marked Zane Ware on the bottom of one foot. A lovely piece of American Art Pottery.
