Description: This is a limited edition 10.5 " X 13" Japanese woodblock print of an owl on a tree branch by Yoshiharu Kimura dated 1975. It has been professionally framed in a gold bamboo frame that measures 16" X 19". There are watermarks on the paper backing, but the glass and print are in perfect condition The artist was born in Tokyo in 1934 and has gained high recognition in Japan and internationally from 1957 when he won a prize for his work at the Nihon Banga-in Exhibition. He has had one man exhibitions at the Odakyu Department Store in Japan and in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There is a reflection in the main photo, there are no marks on the print or the glass.
