Yanagisawa 880 T880 Tenor Saxophone Sax, Selmer mark VI 6 copy with case

Description: This Yanagisawa 880 (T880) tenor saxophone is in very good condition. The springs and keys feel like new. The pads are soft and seal well. The whitish color on some of the pads is talc powder which is an approved treatment for pads. The instrument has a nice dark tone. As you may know, this instrument is a Selmer mark 6 copy. It is a great choice for jazz players that cannot afford a Selmer mark 6 or Yamaha professional tenor sax. The information stamped into the body is "Japan 880, 10103568". There are lots of small scratches in the lacquer clearcoat, and the lacquer has rubbed off in places. There are some dents in the very bottom of the body as shown in one of the pictures. The cork on the neck is in great condition, but the neck is a little loose in the body. I used to insert a small strip of paper between the neck and body or you could have a technician expand the neck for a small charge. The low C#, low C, and low Bb subtones (whisper tones) play well, but the low B subtone does not speak. Adjustment is needed, but you probably won't notice this issue. The low B plays fine when you play at a normal volume (p-ff). The case is in great condition: no loose feet, latches, or hinges. No cracks or deep scratches. A neck strap and shoulder strap for the case are included. There is no mouthpiece included.
