Description: Up for auction is the awesomely variegated - Philodendron 'Jose Buono'. Last 4 Photos Are Of the Actual XL PLANT for sale- with GREAT PATTERNS Philodendron 'Jose Buono' is a really great choice if you love variegated plants, as it is easy to grow, tolerates a good amount of sun, and the leaf patterns it produces are outstanding. This one is a climber, and the leaves can get quite large rather quickly if given ample light. A partial sun on the bright side is a good balance to keep the green dark while allowing it to get big. Full sun coming through overhead tree canopy works well. Indoors, I put it in a very bright / sunny spot. A good grower, and quite cold hardy (I've had mine out in the garden unprotected during upper 20's cold snaps) P. Jose Buono always has a suprise up its sleeve, as each new leaf is different from the last. Sometimes its a white speckled leaf, sometimes it is speckled with big white blotches, other times, half the leaf is white, and I've even had it put out leaves that were just about pure white. A cool trick with this plant is to cut the growth tip in the early Spring- this seems to force it into producing very white new leaves. I usually do this on those I have growing up trees in March or April here in Central Florida, and then they give off quite a show all year.
