Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Welcome to the Rustic Factory and Thank You for visiting. I have a passion for authentic and genuine American Industrial history and style furnishings. I decided to take this passion to the next step and started The Rustic Factory 4 years ago. At possibly 100 years old (no way to know for sure. Patent Dates on the machine were 1897 to 1906) this gorgeous Wysong and Miles Stroke Sander Table (shop number 3143) was sitting in the cold and dark depths of a factory hidden in the rural countryside of Pennsylvania. However, I couldn’t just walk in and purchase this incredible relic of the industrial age despite having knowledge of its whereabouts. It had been listed in an industrial machine auction and it had to be bid on and won fair and square. The race was on, and on October 19th 2018, I was fortunate enough to win the auction. I have dedicated countless hours of meticulously breathing life back into the old stoke sander table. Originally, I sold it to the business itself, as I never planned on selling it. However, I have acquired a second one with even more sentimental value. For me, this is so much more than mechanical repair and restoration, this is exciting and passionate creation of art. With many of these authentic relics from the industrial age, there is little to no natural patina that remains. With the decades of age comes decades of rust, dirt, and scale. However, you need not trouble yourself with these concerns as I was able to craft a beautiful finish from the natural cast iron itself. Not only in from an aesthetic standpoint, but from a functionality standpoint as well. Originally frozen and nonfunctional, the mechanical functionality has been completely restored. The table raises effortlessly and can be easily performed with one hand. The handwheel turns the original chain that follows a continuous path around the table and through passages. It has been brought back to life as a unique office desk, coffee table, or even dining room table if you prefer. Because of the 36” steel rails, it can accommodate a plethora of different glass top sizes. The height is fully adjustable up and down with a few turns of the crank handle. From a mere 21” to over 35”, this puts the scope of possibilities in your hands. Soon you could be working, crafting, creating, or simply relaxing around this genuine and authentic relic of the industrial age. This once forgotten and disregarded work of art from the industrial age could have been destined for the scrap heap, instead, it has been revitalized and reborn into a conversation and centerpiece for years to come. Don’t delay in making it yours! I offer free Personalized Delivery included to lower 48. Due to the unique nature and value of these pieces, I have found that delivering them in person is the best practice.
