William K Gillett appears on Pg. 4 Officers Patients as Received Aboard USS Solace 31 May 1943 from USS Fomalhaut Attack Cargo Ship and then again on Pg. 10 of USS Solace (Hospital Ship) Officer Patients Report of Changes 30 June 1943 with the following transfer comment 'R/S Navy No. 131 FFT USS Mindoro for duty' which was USS Mindoro II YAG-15 Freighter that Supported Advanced Naval Operations on Various Pacific Islands until the end of the War, Gillett was Promoted to Lieutenant Commander in 1944.
