WW2 era CAMILLUS USN MK2 fighting knife, 1943 NORD composition scabbard

Description: WW2 era US Navy Mark 2 fighting knife with original NORD composition scabbard; manufactured by Camillus Cutlery. This guard-marked MK2 is about 12"/30.5 cm overall; the blade is about 6-7/8"/17.5 cm. This fighter is used, but it's in better-than-average condition for the type - no pitting, spine dings, or edge nicks; the blade has been lightly re-sharpened; it is razor-sharp still; the tip is intact. Stacked leather washes and hammer-like round pommel handle; all parts are tight; no contact marks on the pommel. Original NORD composition scabbard by Beckwith Manufacturing; production numbers on the back indicate 11/1943 delivery. Original "navy-gray" finish; no dents, chips or cracks on the plastic; the keeper is intact.
