Description: WW-II Japanese Invasion Money JIM 7 Different Philippines During World War II the Japanese issued currency for the countries they invaded, part of their goal for a Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere. They invaded the Philippines in December 1941 and in 1942 issued the 10 Pesos showing a Plantation in good but circulated condition. To further implement the sphere the Japanese later granted the Philippine "Independence" under Japanese rule and to celebrate issued the 1 Peso, 5 Pesos and 100 Pesos notes depicting the Rizal Monument in Manila. These are in good but circulated condition. The One and One Hundred bills are stamped with cancellation marks from being turned in an retired after the war. The One Centavo and 5 Centavos notes are in uncirculated or near uncirculated condition. The 50 Centavos has a great deal of wear and discoloration.
