Description: This is an Australian opal partial cut/rub. It has some awesome play of color inside. It is a very large chunk weighing 21.795 carats. There is a very bright steak of green fire all around. Top and bottom are moderately bumpy and have a light covering of sand. Should yield a nice stone. Pics don't show the true colors in it. My husband, Tom, was an award winning jewelry artist. Sadly he passed away before he could cut it all. The opals were purchased at the Tuscon Gem Show directly from the Aussie miners in the 1990's..
