This auction is for a pair of salt and pepper shakers made of wood – they are designed to look like a miniature set of ‘railroad’ crossing signs. Made of wood with the recognizable ‘X,’ they measure 2 ¼” high x 1 ¼” wide and weigh .6 of an ounce; one has ‘Fostoria Ohio’ imprinted in black ink on the lacquered wood. They each have stoppers. Fostoria Ohio is known for its railroad history, a place where a number of company lines crossed through the city. They are both in good condition with no cracks/crackling/chips.
