Description: Wolfgang’s Vault War 800925 – The Grateful Dead at the Warfield (1980) Postcard – This is a rare promotional card sent out to promote the web site. The Dead, the skeleton and roses is an artistic relationship established by Kelley and Mouse way back in 1968, but that doesn’t mean that others haven’t taken a shot at gilding the lily (or rose). Set designer Dennis Larkins created two huge renditions, dubbed Sam and Samantha, to be installed at the Warfield for the show, and the casually posed pair became the poster design for the concert.
