Dust jacket has wear on top of front cover and on spine. The dust jacket's front cover has separated and is held together by a plastic protector. The book's pages are clean and browned slightly due to age. There is some abrasion at the bottom of the spine and discoloration at the bottom of the front cover. The book contains a map of Wilmington as of 1772 reproduced as endpapers. The author was a public school educator and Curator of the Historical Society of Delaware. In 1928, the public schools tried to stage a pageant about city history; however, information was scarce and inaccessible. Lincoln thereafter began to compile this history of Wilmington, completing it in 1937. A terrific present for any Wilmingtonian or Delawarian! Our father grew up in Wilmington and loved the place.
