Description: This is a rare July 14th, 1946 program (playbill) from the National Tour engagement of the ARNAUD d' USSEAU and JAMES GOW play "DEEP ARE THE ROOTS" at the Shubert Lafayette Theatre in Detroit, Michigan. (The Original Broadway production opened September 26th, 1945 at the Fulton Theatre in New York City and ran for 477 performances while simultaneously playing on the road.) .... DETAILS: The four page playbill measures 6 1/8" X 9" inches and includes cast list and synopsis of scenes, but no cast photos or bios ..... CONDITION: With the exception of two tiny marks near the seam and light edge wear, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or opera historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
