YELLOW Gallardia Wild Flower ** this is rare and hard to find! Another Known name for them is: Gallardia I think they are very pretty and rare. The first time I saw these was about 8 years ago when I first went to the beaches here in the Carolinas. They were growing WiLD all along the edge of the walkways near the dunes and along the beach areas. And people even had them growing in their front yards.. I liked them soooooo much that I collected the seeds and planted them at my home here with a sandy mixture cause I thought that is what they needed.. Come to find out that they will grow anywhere and are VERY drought resistant with little care needed once they are established. They will reseed also but I always plant more to make sure that I have lots of them!! They grow thick just like my WILD flower Daisies and Blackeyed Susans!! These flowers are actually bright YELLOW IN VOLIR WITH thick Yellow centers It is a very pretty flower and quite An EYE catcher that is Very fast and easy to grow from Seeds. It is very HARDY too and loves the HOT SUN.. It will come back from seeds and in certain places of the U.S it will stay plant all year round and keep producing flowers.. Mulching in cooler temps is suggested. What I like about this flower is that the flowers last for a LONG LONG TIME.. Pinch the flowers back and they will continue to bloom way into the fall months till the coldness hits them..They will die down or go dormant and regrow again come springtime by the seeds they leave.
