Description: An unusual sailor made folk art type amulet or medallion for luck, it is a large bronze coin of the C18th worked flat on one side and an image of a cross a whale being hunted and a small brass saint medal added. Reverse is still the worn coin image, this came from northern Spain. I would guess it was made by a sailor from the area in the early to mid C19th. Nice patina but it will polish up if required.
