German or Nickel Silver can be buffed up to look a bit like Sterling and it is solid metal (not plated) so the finish will never wear off.This buckle set is a nice gauge and not a flimsy product.This buckle set can be used on a 3/4" belt or can be used on a tapered belt that is wider in the body and tapers down to 3/4" at the buckle and at the tip end. It can also be used as a ranger belt that has a wider body and a 3/4" buckle and tip chape at either end.Vintage North & Judd quality made in the USA.
