Description: This latch is for interior doors. If you are looking for keylock dead latch for locking knobs and levers, search my store under the Weslock category. Drive-in latches are not common, so feel free to contact me before ordering if you are unsure if this is the latch you need. This Drive-In replacement latch works on Weslock Molten Bronze, 600 Series Traditional and Elegance series locks that don't have screwed in face plates. Your current latch should be stamped "600 series" on the side. If you latch is stamped 2 3/8" or 2 3/4" on the side or is unmarked, this latch won't work. Weslock now only makes their drive-in latches in Antique Brass finish. I can include a satin brass finish snap on face plate upon request, but the center ring will not match. This latch fits both 2 3/8" & 2 3/4" backsets. If your replacement latch is too long, simply pop off the back extension (see 2nd photo). If your latch has broken due to door alignment issues, replacing the latch will only be a temporary fix and the door or strike plate must be realigned to correct the real problem, or the replacement latch will fail quickly.
