This plate has so many striking features—octagonal shape, fresh vivid coloring, raised embossed foliage border, central scene of children playing complete with the signature of E Lessore. For the age and rarity of this plate, condition is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, stains or repairs. There is clean crazing and a few tiny frits/rough dots on the side edge of the plate—see the last picture. The bottom is impressed WEDGWOOD only, and this plate dates to the 1860s.
