This WMW short shifter extension directly attaches to the bottom of stock MINI shift lever. This lengthens the bottom half of the shifter lever and therefore moves the shift cable further with less movement or "throw" at the top of the shift lever. This makes it a short shifter without shortening the top of the lever or having to change the entire lever.
