Description: Waterford Crystal ~ Golfing Vase Designers Gallery For your consideration, Waterford Crystal "Golfing Vase", a Designers Gallery piece signed by Eamonn Hartley, Waterford Crystal Master Engraver. There is no box or paperwork. Made in Ireland 14" Tall, 8" wide Acid etched Waterford mark (image with red arrow) There appears to be a horizontal scratch on the side with the ball. One would almost think this was meant as a means of showing the ball's trajectory, but I think it is actually a scratch (image with purple arrow). Weighs eleven pounds before careful packing The vase is copper wheel engraved by hand resulting in a spectacular work of crystal art in which the copper wheel engraving and deep wedge cuts and a large olive cut complement each other and are crowned by an undulating rim. One side features the golfer as he completes his swing with trees. The other side has the floating ball and the 18th green. The brilliant combination of intricate engraving, deep wedge cuts and symbolic rim beautifully capture the magic of the game.
