Description: An ape pickaxe made for the production of Matt Reeves' science fiction film War for the Planet of the Apes. Very cool prop. Highly detailed, very realistic. In this final film of the Planet of the Apes trilogy, Caesar (Andy Serkis) and the other apes are caught in a conflict with humans. Many weapons and tools are seen resting against walls throughout the ape's encampment in the forest during the film's opening. This would have likely been made as set dressing for the encampment, but I'm not sure if it's visible in the finished film. Really awesome piece, either way. This pickaxe is made with a wood handle and features a stone head. It has been custom painted and wrapped with leather bits in order to look like a well-used tool. Additionally, a long tuft of hair protrudes from the axe's backside. Some portions of the wrappings are loose but the piece is in overall good condition.Item size: 31" × 14" × 3" (78.74cm × 35.56cm × 7.62cm) Propstore COA included.
