They were stock from a shop in Kyoto that sold kimono accessories. Most were made in the 1980-90’s… when most items like this were still made in Japan... This is a formal bag for use when wearing a kimono for solemn occasions or ceremonies but can also be used as an evening bag. It seems to be in ’like new’ condition with no apparent stains, discoloration or odor in it’s original box. It is made of stiffened fabric and has a snap fastener and is fully lined with an internal pocket & mirror compartment. It measures:8½” or 21cm long2½” or 6cm thick6½” or 16cm high10” or 26cm drop with chain strap in use. MADE IN JAPAN NOTE: These are all vintage although some are unused, like new or have stains or other damage so examine the photos carefully before purchasing to determine the exact condition of this particular item and it’s value to you.
