Description: VTG Seafarer Dungarees "Hippie" Bell Bottoms 60s 70s Soft Navy Denim Flare Jeans 26" Waist 32" Inseam These are jeans purchased at an Army/Navy store in Texas in the late 1960s by me (a woman) for my own use. They are considered men's jeans, but all the hippie girls wore them because they had the largest bell bottom leg opening of any jeans you could buy. They were also cheaper than a department store. These jeans are cotton & polyester made for Navy Seaman. This pair has a 23" "bell" cuff. That is 11 1/2" across seam to seam! The waist is 13" across, (26" around). The rise is about 12", so they are what we'd call now "high rise". The closure is snap and zip and it works perfectly. There are two flat pockets sewn on front and two on the back. They have the Seafarer label and the writing on the label is in English and French. The jeans are in very good lightly used condition. I found them in a large suitcase I've had for years along with a lot of other treasures, such as ticket stubs to the Stones and Dylan. Those are NOT included in this sale! In the 1960s if we had a pair of bell bottoms with a blemish, we'd just embroider a flower or patch over it. They sold decorative patches in the head shops. Those were definitely the good old days! I will never be able to wear this pair of "skinny" jeans, and perhaps you can, or maybe just want to have something from the days of Peace, Love and Rock 'n Roll. Here's your chance.
