VTG Hip Moreau 18" Statue Alexander Backer, Bronze Chalkware Autumn

Description: For your consideration is a vintage Hip Moreau statue by Alexander Backer. This is a chalkware piece that is painted to look like it is Bronze. This was the original design of Hippolyte Francois Moreau. He was a French Sculptor born in April of 1832 and died Jan of 1926. He was the son of Jean-Baptiste Moreau. This figurine was actually of his season collection. This one is of a woman collecting wood or agriculture and was named Autumn. This piece is 18" tall. It has a small chip of the paint on the back of her hair and a chip on the back of the other side of her hair. A little bronze paint will cover the areas. On the base there are 2 small scratches.
