Description: Vintage HERTER'S Inc. Improved Bowie, Knife With Leather Sheath 5", From The 50's, Made In The U.S.A. Blade is 5", overall length is 10". Blade is sharp, but could still use a proper sharpening. Knife is 3 large brass pins, 7/8 tang, hardwood handle. Blade is hi-carbon steel. Blade has scratches, and stains, from normal use. Knife has wonderful patina. Hardwood handle has minimal scratches, and marks, from normal use. Handle has a lanyard hole, for a tether. Hardwood handle has wonderful color as well as a very nice tight grain pattern. Also Wood Handle has no chips, or cracks. Leather Sheath: Stitching, Rivets, Snap, Strap, And Belt Loop are all in good condition. Sheath needs some leather conditioner, it is stiff. Sheath has scratches, and marks, from normal use.
