VTG CHIPPEWA US ARMY 10TH SPECIAL FORCES MOUNTAIN/SKI BOOTS SZ 6 EE RARE

Description: Vintage Chippewa leather boots, made for US Army 10th Special Forces Group, for use as mountain/ ski boots. These are size 6 EE. They are lace-up boots with removable wool felt insoles. Toes are squared off and heels are grooved to accept ski bindings. Heavy Goodyear soles, pre-dating the Vibram soles used in later versions of this boot. According to my reading, Chippewa boots were used by the Army as ski/ mountain boots into the 1970's. I think these are an earlier version since the soles are Goodyear instead of Vibram, possibly 1960's or even 1950's? This is just my guess. These boots are in great condition, with minimal sole wear and a few minor scuffs on the uppers. Felt insoles are still present. These are vintage heavy rugged boots, Chippewa quality, hard to find. Measurements: Inside length is 9 3/8"; inside width is 3 5/8". Shaft height is 6.5". For clothing, shoes, accessories: Please use measurements to determine fit.
