Description: Vintage “Cherry Amber” Stardust Bakelite or Phenolic Resin 3-Sided Beads, Mahogany Red with Black Veins - 3 Beads (17 grams) Simichrome tested; left a reddish residue on the cotton swab as shown in photos. Lot of 3 triangular beads. Color: The color isn’t a bright cherry red, it’s like a mahogany or cherry cola with black marbling. IMO, these may have originally been a caramel colored Bakelite that’s oxidized to a reddish shade. There’s a faint hint of shimmer dust running through the red parts when magnified, under a bright light. The shimmer is subtle, it is not like glitter flakes. Each bead measures approximately 1 ⅛” length; ⅝” width Condition Good. Minor surface wear and tear consistent with normal use and age. One bead has two dimples along the edge, this appears to be from manufacturing, not due to damage. No chips or major flaws to note.
