Description: Here we have a very-vintage fine porcelain covered vegetable bowl by Bareuther Waldsassen in a pattern known as BTH131 that is a very close match to Hutschenreuther's (Bareuther's neighboring Bavarian factory) Brighton pattern on the Sylvia shape from the same period. The scalloped patterns vary slightly in the length of curly-ques. The quality of the porcelain and the thick, frosting-like gold trim is the same. We have 6-piece place settings and other serving pieces in this pattern in our store, and we're always happy to combine shipping at actual cost. Vintage: 1966 (has Bareuther's 100-year anniversary mark) Approximate measurements: height (without lid 4 1/8") and (with lid 7"); diameter (without handles 8.25") and (with handles 11") Condition: Bright, shiny and stunning -- aka "Minty," with the only condition issue being a few scattered colorless surface glaze scratches -- the kind that show up only when you hold the piece at a particular angle up to direct light. This was used rarely, perhaps a few times. The gold is 100% present, and there are no cracks, chips, stains, silver/gray utensil marks or anything else to be seen or felt other than the sprinkling of colorless graze scratches. We consider funky odors (cigarette smoke, mildew, etc) to be an important part of a condition report.
