The original owner of this intricately carved statue was a traveling nurse and purchased this work of art while in Bali in the 1960’s. The amazing detail and craftsmanship is quite impressive. Apparently it took up to 10 months to carve these large sculptures from one piece of Sonokeling wood. This statue is in excellent condition though the pole is missing. A beautiful piece of island culture. My apologies to the east coast buyer for the seemingly high shipping cost.
