Description: 1951 State Fair of Texas Badge Pin Fresh from a Dallas estate comes this vintage memorabilia piece from the 1951 State Fair of Texas in Dallas. This is a pin in gold or brass tone metal with rectangle bar across top that reads, "Special Events" in black enamel. Hanging from the bar is a red and blue ribbon with a Texas shaped badge hanging below. The badge has embossed image of the Tower building, wheat stock and several animals: cattle, horse, ram, & rooster. The badge reads, "State Fair of Texas 66th Anniversary The Show Window of the Southwest Oct 6-21, 1951." The back is marked, "Exline, Dallas." The pin measures 3 7/8" long by 2" wide. This piece is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with NO enamel wear or major damage. The ribbon is faded, discolored and dirty. There is light corrosion on back of pin under ribbon.
