Description: Vintage menu from Eitel Old Heidelberg located on Randolph just west of State in Chicago. Also included is the card you sent to the Orchestra in those days to play your favorite song Of interest is the Famine Emergency Statement that only 1 roll will be served. There was widespread famine in Europe during this post WW2 year. There is also a stamp that was licked and put on the menu reminding restaurant patrons to give to the Salvation Army The front of the menu advertises exquisite food, dinner, music, and continuous entertainment. The date May 14, 1946 is written in ink by my mother on the outside top of the menu. She also wrote "Alumni" She graduated nursing school in Chicago so it may have been an Alumni get together. There's a beverage list on the back. The most expensive thing on the menu is a full Lobster dinner with dessert and coffee for $3.00. It measures 12 1/2" by 8 1/2". Menu shows wear and paper curl on the top.
