Description: Milk glass jar with metal lid, with a front and back paper label advertising Jergens Face Cream, made by the The Andrew Jergens Co., Cincinnati, Ohio, being the 1 1/2 ounce size jar and measuring approx 2" in diameter and standing 2" tall. This jar was given free if the customer purchased "50c of Jergens Lotion". Later the company changed it to read "50c Bottle Jergens Lotion". Note that this jar has the original pink metal top. On the front label, the three women's faces are stated by some ebay sellers to be Vargas. On the back of the jar there is another paper label with instructions on use of the product and advertising the 8 ounce jar of Jergens Face Cream at 15 cents (later paper labels for this jar had the price at 25 cents). Undated but based on ads for this product, the low price and the art work, my guess is that this is from the 1940's-right after the War. Partially full of lotion. Top is in very good condition with no dents or marks. Both paper labels are in very good condition with only very minor paper loss at the bottom of the front label. There are a few of these jars for sale on ebay, some in much poorer condition and none as early as my jar and with the same labels.
