Description: Nabokov, Vladimir. Pale Fire. London: Weidenfeld and Nicolson, 1962. Offered for sale is a copy of Vladimir Nabokov's Pale Fire--in its first edition, the first printing, of November 1962.* This volume, which lacks the jacket is in good condition: but for the inscription of a pervious owner, on the FEP, this copy is free of annotations, underscore, &c. There is wear to the gray-brown cloth; the front cover bears some stains and scuffs. The volume is mildly cocked but, when shelved, will stand true. The edges of the text-block and the front endpapers are very slightly foxed. The book will be posted by USPS Media Mail. Buyers abroad will be served by eBay's International Shipping Program. *I do not know whether the first U.K. edition (from Weidenfeld) and first U.S. edition (from Putnam's) are exactly coeval. Both were published in 1962.
