Description: Up for sale is a Yamaha CR-440 Stereo receiver (79-80). The x40 line replaced the x20 line (77-80) The wood cabinet went to a darker color, and the faceplate with knobs went to a powder coat silver. This receiver was advertise at 30wpc at 8 ohms with 0.02% THD, Though I think it has a little more probably around 40wpc.The receiver has been gone thru. All pot's and switches have been cleaned deoxit and lubed. All lamps have been replaced (non led) the incandescent bulbs give it a soft green yellow glow. The outside of the case is also in great shape a few small scratches and dings (see pics) and the faceplate and knobs are also in great shape. This receiver has been a daily driver for 6 months use with Klipsch KG2's Heresy II and Cerwin Vega D-2's (not at the same time) and was impressed with all.) Yamaha in my opinion has the best for sound clarity and ultra clear highs, Bass and MID are also vey well defined and solid. Included with receiver is a Yamaha DT-2 Digital Timer also cleaned and lubed works as intended and is in great shape. Thanks for taking a look good luck.
