Size is Small To the best of my knowledge, this style hat became popular with USGIs, specifically NCOs, who spent time in the wet hot conditions of Vietnam during the war. The left side of the hat is stitched with a Nakhon Phanom Thailand rocker patch which has a black background and gold embroidered stitching. (now aged) The hat itself is heavy gauge canvas construction with tan exterior and interior Overall condition is good for its age and bares some scuffs and marks that show it was possibly theater worn. It appears to have seen some real action. Used in battle? Is that a blood spot? Great for your Vietnam era military collection.
