This Throw/ Blanket incorporating many of the typical hallmarks of a quality tapestry; Silk fringe border, a strong floral pattern, with a variety of flowers and birds in a range of vibtrant colours. Taken from an Indo-Portuguese design, this tapestry is imbued with rich symbolism. Employing both ancient and medieval imagery, birds sit atop thistles, irises. Here, lively greens, yolk yellow, deep lapis blue and cardinal red shine against an elegant cream ground.
