Description: VINTAGE TALL MOORCROFT ART POTTERY HAND PAINTED 1993 FLORAL VASE RED & BLACK A gorgeous hand painted English art pottery vase. It is decorated with colorful abstract florals and has raised areas that outlines most of the pattern. The floral motif is basically repeated three times around the body of the vase, with slight differences to each view. Beautiful colors of pink, blue, black, grey and various shades of red. The piece was made by the Moorcroft Pottery in England and is so marked on the bottom. This piece has been in my personal collection since the year 2000. The vase is marked with an impressed mark “MOORCROFT” on the underside of the foot and the words “MADE IN ENGLAND”. There are various other hand-painted marks there as well and probably the artist’s initials – see the photos A very attractive and desirable vase! It is in excellent mint original condition. Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of this item. There are no chips, flea bites, cracks, hairlines or repairs. I checked the vase over carefully with a black light and found no evidence of damage or repairs. I see no crazing to the glaze. Anything else you think you see is a reflection of light in the photos. Please keep in mind these photos can be blown up at least 8X-10X times normal, so anything you see will look 8X-10X times larger in the photos than it really is. Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece. It will be either just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the right side of the photo. Approximate Dimensions About 4.25” (10.8 cm) in diameter at the widest point. The foot is about 3.375” (8.6 cm) in diameter and the vase sits about 10.75” (27.3 cm) tall. Approximate Weight About 1 pound 12.625 ounces (812 grams).
