Description: I have a Stanley Bailey No.4 Wood Plane for sale.This plane has a larger brass adjuster. I has a good un- cracked rear tote and a front knob. Both have been striped of spray paint and could be re finished after some sanding and varnish. With these being painted it has protected the wood underneath really well. I think the original wood work has a thick lacker, underneath look like a nice grain... with some sanding these will finish really nice. Both hold well with no movement. The cap has some wear, but it works well, it is a kidney type, it has some finish loss... The lateral lever is good and is stamped Stanley, a little loss and could be tighten with some peening.. The iron is a good original Stanley. The japanning is very good with very little wear. This is a good plane that works very well... it just needs a sharpen and it could be cleaned up more if desired. Price is based on good condition and age. Thank you.
