Description: Vintage S.O.S. FIRE GUARD Brass 1½ Qt., Heavy Duty Fire Extinguisher. Manufactured by The General Detroit Corp., New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Dallas. Last patent is 2,340,471 (1946). It is in overall good condition with some pin head sized dents and a dime size dent on the bottom left side (see pictures for imperfections). Also, some spotting due to dezincification and minor paint fade on the label. Measures approx. 17.5" tall by 3" in diameter. The extinguisher has been machine buffed, hand polished, and clear coated. The extinguisher is EMPTY and the pump handle does move in and out but it is being sold as a collectible/display item only. Unless my items are listed as New or MIB (Mint In Box/Bag) they are used, so expect there to be some wear and signs of usage.
