Description: Came from a local estate. Shenango china 9" restaurant plate is from The Ranger Hotel, Lusk, Wyoming. It features a cowboy on horseback & a steer on the range in brown on off-white. The back features the Shenango Indian logo. The Ranger Hotel was started by Roy Chamberlain, a part-time Ohio Oil employee, who sold his interest to his partner, Hoblit, in 1935 and used the proceeds to buy the Ranger Hotel in Lusk. He went on to be elected state senator and founded the Ranger Oil Company. This plate features the logo for the hotel. This vintage plate shows light signs of usage, but has no chips or cracks. This is the last one that I have.
