The flag features 48 stars, representing the United States in the 1950s. It has a distressed and worn appearance, adding to its unique charm. This flag is perfect for collectors of historical memorabilia and those who appreciate vintage Americana. This is an estate sale find. Unfolded it appears distressed and has multiple holes/rips - we are assuming some to be related to age but some may be from either moths or mice. Piece is a bit dusty/dirty from storage & possible from use. Please see pictures. First two pictures were taken on site and shows damaged areas. The 3rd,4th & 5th picture are just closeups showing the stitching of the stars and stripes and the manufacturer's tag. It appears the grommets are brass but are tarnished. We were not comfortable in unfolding and retaking pictures at home as we are unfamiliar with folding the proper way. We are estimating the flag to be from the 1950's and it's obviously a quality well-made piece from that era, however, time has taken its toll, and it has become more fragile. Great piece of Historic Militaria waiting for someone special to appreciate its value.
