Description: Vintage Schrade 80th Anniversary Daddy Barlow Knife, #1279 Knife is 5in long with a 4in blade. Nickel-silver bolsters and brass liners. Bolsters are engraved with "Schrade". Front bolster engraved with serial number. Nickel-silver badge engraved with "1904 80th Anniversary 1984". Blade etched with "Schrade Cutlery Corp. 1974, Schrade Walden Cut. Corp. 1946, Schrade Cutlery Co. 1904". Tang stamped with "Schrade + N.Y. U.S.A. 280". Scales are "staglion", Delrin made to look like stag. Comes with knife, leatherette presentation case (8in X 5in X 1in), red velour knife pouch, and paperwork. Schrade went out of business in 2004. While you can still buy "new" Schrade knives anything after 2004 is a Chinese reproduction. This was part of a family collection and has been in storage for more than 20 years.
