Description: For sale is a Vintage Wind Up Santa Claus Toy made in Japan in the 1950s to 1960s. It is MISSING the hands and the hat, as well as the bag that Santa would have held slung over his left shoulder and the bell that Santa would have held in his right hand. The original box is also long gone. When wound, the right arm would move forward and backward, which would have caused the bell to ring. The left arm would move up and down, which would make it appear as if Santa was tugging at the bag. Despite the aforementioned missing parts, the winding mechanism still PARTIALLY WORKS, as the right arm still moves when the key is wound. However, the left arm no longer moves. The fabric of Santa's suit shows moderate wear. This piece would be a good candidate for repair or perhaps to cannibalize for parts. Item comes from a smoke-free home.
