Description: Royal Couples This is a limited edition sericel depicting characters from Walt Disney's classic animated features Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), Cinderella (1950), and Sleeping Beauty (1959). This sericel, entitled "Royal Couples, Scene 12 of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs; Sequence 4, Scene 41 of Cinderella; and Sequence 21, Scene 9 of Sleeping Beauty: The timeless notion of fairy tale romance is celebrated in this enchanting triple portrait of these classic royal couples. The Walt Disney Studio has chosen to recreate these character images using the fine art screen-printing process of color reproduction. Disney artists, working from the original animation drawings used for the production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty, as well as from film reference materials, have translated the original images to a hand-inked, hand-painted cel. This cel was used by American Atelier in El Segundo, California in the production of these sericels. This limited edition was produced in 1995. It is comprised of a general edition of 5,000 sericels and 500 publisher's proofs for a total maximum of 5,500 sericels. Disney Art Editions approves the techniques used in the production of this edition and the proofs thereof. Conforming to the practice of fine art printing, the screens used to create the edition are destroyed when the edition is complete. The Disney Animation Research Library maintains the original animation drawings. The hand-inked, hand-painted cel is archived with the publisher. There are no signed or numbered impressions in this edition. No additional multiples of this image, including proofs, have been produced in this or any other limited edition.
