Description: Vintage Royal China Round Gold Serving Plate w/handles Warranted 22 KT Gold I started collecting gold pottery several years ago when the price of gold jewelry shot through the roof. I figured if I couldn't afford real gold jewelry, at least I had the plates. This is a 12" serving plate that, despite not being marked as such on the back, was made in Sebring, Ohio by Royal China. It is a mid-century piece in the Hollywood Regency style that was very popular in the 50's-60's. Despite being about 70 years old, the plate is in pretty good overall condition. There are no chips or cracks. There is no loss of color to the center design. There is some loss of gold around the edges of the plate and to the scrolled handles where your thumb would rest. There is also some loss of gold above the center design. Despite it's imperfections, it is still a nice addition to a gold pottery collection or for general display.
