Description: Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Ref. 1500! This is a great vintage 1979 Rolex Date ref. 1500 on the 78350 "Heavy" Oyster bracelet! The watch is in a 34 mm stainless steel case and will fit 19 mm straps. The case, crystal, and bracelet show scratches. The bracelet shows minor stretch from wear, and the crown is well-defined on the clasp. The clasp is date-coded with an "VE", indicating it was produced in 1980. The watch will currently fit about a 7 1/2" wrist.Serial number 6136xxx, dates to 1979. Model and serial numbers are readable between the lugs.The dial on the watch has a faint circular scratch around the middle, looks like the hour hand did it. The case back has a small dent in it - see photos.The watch features the 26 jewel cal. 1570 automatic movement. All functions work properly; however, we do not know the service history on this watch and do not guarantee the time keeping. Currently the watch is running fast, showing around + 22 seconds/day on our timing machine.
