According to Boomer it has a pretty cool and uncommon mod that was designed by (and probably installed by) Masuhiro Tsuruta, who was Roland employee #4. He designed the first Boss pedal and worked on a lot of their GR series and their amps. The mod is a memory bank expansion. In addition to the memory for patches, it allows you to store more sequences. In addition to that, it has the MD-2 ROM which gives it a velocity mode, but only via MIDI. It’s pretty basic, but a cool thing to have. These were mods given to either a few employees at Roland, friends, or celebrities. Not too many people have them.
