Vintage RARE 1990's Rauland Borg 1285 dynamic cardioid microphone w accessories

Description: Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at an obscure, rarer Rauland Borg 1285 model dynamic cardioid microphone from the 1990's set at Low impedance / 250 OHMS. It comes with the original mic pouch, cable, mic clip, data sheet and box shown. I believe that this mic is actually a rebadges Astatic 960 model as the design is exactly the same. Rauland Borg has sold many microphones over the decades under license so this is most likely the case. Regardless, the R.B 1285 is a very high quality model mic. It's an all metal design with a rugged build. The low Z setting gives it a warm, smooth tone making this ideal for singing and studio work. The frequency range is 40 - 16,000 HZ and it has excellent uni-directional qualities. The flat black finish on the mic gives it a slightly more ominous and aggressive vibe. More character than the standard stick mics of today. As seen in the pictures provided this mic has a very nice original finish. Virtually no wear and the R.B label is perfect and completely legible. The metal mesh screen is perfect with zero odors, tarnish or dents. The original inner foam pop filter is excellent as well. The XLR pins were cleaned on this mic ensuring a perfect signal once the cable is attached. On / off switch slides smooth with zero issues. The cosmetic condition I would rate an easy 9 + on a scale of 1 - 10. Let the pictures be your guide please. The mic comes with a plastic mic clip that fits the mic perfectly and provides a wide degree of tilt up and down. It's in perfect condition and will screw onto any desk or floor stand you have. The original black vinyl mic pouch is included and a great place to keep the mic when not in use to decrease any chance of physical wear. The original data sheet is included and has a ton of technical info on this mic that will come in handy. The data sheet shows just very lite wear. The original cable is also included. Excellent condition. Soft, pliable and has two quality Switchcraft XLR connectors. It's appx 20 feet long giving you tons of room to work with. Last but not least is the hard to find original box. It's in great condition and good at keeping all your accessories in the same place. You have everything and this unique quality mic is ready to go.
