Vintage Pioneer CS-51 Bookshelf Speakers Restored- Rare and Mint Condition

Description: Pioneer CS-51 Micro/Mini Bookshelf Speakers Up for sale is a rare pair of early production Pioneer CS-51 16ohm bookshelf speakers that I have restored from the inside out: crossovers to veneer. Now... I know "YOU WILL NOT FIND A NICER PAIR OF... (insert your brand/item here/there) anywhere" is tossed around quite bit, but I honestly feel you will not find another pair of CS-51's in this condition because, well, there aren't any. Below is a full list of repairs/modifications I have made. Enjoy! Cabinet: - New walnut veneer with 6-7 coats of Minwax polycrylic for a deep, piano/furniture grade finishOriginal veneer was completely removed due to lifting- New Black anodized M4/.50 cap head mounting screws for the woofer (25mm) and tweeter (20mm) for a more refined finish appearance when grilles are removed- Same cap head screws were used to block the original grille mounting holes (10mm length)- Custom made, removable grille frames w/ magnets and pull straps, painted and finished w/ felt backing to protect the baffles painted finish- Gold finish Dayton Audio BPA-38G heavy duty binding posts- Filled with poly-fil dampening material Crossovers:- New Jantzen Audio Cross Cap capacitors: (2) 1.5uf in parallel for woofer / (1) 1.5uf & .10uf in parallel for tweeter - Original inductors were reused- Copper jumper tabs- Hex pattern notched out for the binding posts fit and finish Woofer/Tweeter: - Applied doping compound (Vintage AR) to the cloth surrounds of each driver. This is the same compound that I use for my Acoustic Research AR-2ax cloth surround Alnico woofers - Black mastic sealant between driver basket and baffle
