Description: Second of two Pickett slide rules for sale. Also tucked away in the back of a rolltop desk for 20 years! According to the Smithsonian's Natural Museum of American History: The triangular logo was used by Pickett between 1958 and 1962. Pickett advertised the "trig trainer" slide rule in the Sept. 17, 1961, issue of the Chicago Daily Tribune. The company intended that students would learn fundamental operations with these plastic slide rules and then graduate to its more complex aluminum ones. According to Slide Rule Museum (sliderulemuseum.com/Picket.shtml): This was Pickett's first design of one-piece injection molded stock and slide. It's listed on the Slide Rule Museum as Picket No. 120 Narrow Stock. Thanks for looking! (Like slide rules? I have another vintage Pickett -- take a look!)
